HSCF SPOTLIGHT: ALEXANDRA ETIENNE CELLIST & TRACK STAR

Updated: Sep 12, 2021

Lexi strives for excellence with grace and ease.

Alexandra Etienne one of our talented HSCF ambassadors is the subject of our monthly profile. When we think of striving for excellence We were excited to witness her exemplary actions and portray what HSCF strives for in our participants. This summer, she was selected by the CEO of North Carolina Arts Council to play her cello for Governor Roy Cooper, during the Legislative Black Caucus reception at the Executive Mansion on July 20, 2021. After performing she met the Governor and several of the state legislators. The Governor then sent a handwritten note and gift card, thanking her for her performance! This thoroughly appreciated and applauded musical performance came after a rigorous and challenging day of attending our Agricultural Technology Venture Capital (VC) virtual camp.

In addition to her musical exploits, Lexi happens to be an accomplished athlete as well. Practicing daily between her zoom sessions and winning multiply races, Lexi and her

team advanced to participate in the nations Junior Olympics running the 4 X 400-meter relay team. It’s these accomplishments, not just as an HSCF STEM ambassador, but accomplished musician and athlete, which made her stand out amongst her peers. Her efforts go above and beyond inspiring both the young and old in her community.

At HSCF, we strive for excellence among all our youth by challenging them in ways that maximize their potential and achieve success.

“The quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor.” – Vince Lombardi

We are a winning team!
