Food Is The Best Medicine To Age Less!


On Feb. 5, Xonna Clark provided her audience with a “super powerful, glowing green, anti-aging smoothie” on Food is the Best Medicine.



At 12:15 p.m. E.S.T, Ms. Clark combined statistics with food to demonstrate the smoothie's benefits. Her ingredients included Spinach, Kale, Cucumbers, Celery, Mangos, Pineapples, Lemons, Limes, Apples, and Coconut Water.


She began her show with a survey completed by the American Psychological Association that found 78% of the U.S. is experiencing tremendous stress. Ms. Clark explained, “chronic stress is damaging to our bodies physically, but also impacts the aging process.” Another study indicated a major sign of aging is when chromosomes shorten and die due to stress hormones rising.



“It has to do with calming down our nervous system and our endocrine system, so we stress less to age less,” Ms. Clark said in response to the ingredients in her recipe. These foods are high in antioxidants and prevent aging by replenishing antioxidants within cells damaged by stress hormones. For a more potent smoothie, flaxseed and collagen protein powder are recommended.
